2GB mini Sd with C500 and M500( modularcarpet) | Posted: [Saturday, April 15, 2006 17:41] |
| There doesn't appear to be a proper forum for the M500 (at least I couldn't see it), so I'll post it here as it partly relates to the C500. I had a Sandisk Ultra II 1GB full-fat SD which worked fine in my M500 until I dropped it when cycling and rode over it Anyway I wan't to replace it with a 2GB card. I noticed that the hi-speed Moby 2GB full-fat SD doesn't work with the M500. I was looking at getting the Moby hi-speed 2GB mini SD, so I could use it in my C500 and (with apaptor), my M500 or Canon Ixus 50 digital camera. Does anybody know if this card will work on all of these devices. If I buy it and it doesn't work am I entitled to a refund. Many thanks. Thread: 2GB mini Sd with C500 and M500 | |

| hi there, Normally, the MobyMemory 2GB minisd with the SD adapter would work fine in the phone rather than an SD. Only the Orange M500 is "special case" in that it has many problems with compatibility at the 2GB capacity. The only card we can recommend for it is the SanDisk ULTRA II 2GB SD. You might also try the Sandisk 2GB minisd - i suppose - but the manufacturers seemed to have only achieved compatibility with the SanDisk implementation of the SD specification rather than the generic standard itself. For reference, these issues are fixed/resolved in all other devices by the same manufacturer, and this issue is peculiar to the Orange M500, iMate JAM, and T-Mobile Compact (which are all flavours of the same phone from manufacturer HTC). Hope that helps. Cheers Thread: RE: 2GB mini Sd with C500 and M500 | |
